With her cute laugh, she would always make her friends and family smile. She was known for being kind, silly, generous, and always caring for others.
She also really enjoyed eating desserts, specifically ice cream or anything with peaches. Also known as “Dot” by some of her friends, Dorothy loved reading, singing hymns, bowling, playing cards, watching Jeopardy and the Baltimore Orioles. She was also a member of Baldwin Memorial United Methodist Church. She later had an extensive career working for Anne Arundel County Board of Education from 1976-1996, where she worked as a secretary and made lifelong friends. She graduated from Arundel Senior High School and went on to work at Fort George G. Naval Academy Dairy Farm in Gambrills, where her dad was the Commander. She had a sister Mary Lou and a brother Jack. Dorothy was born on April 13, 1931, to John Hutchins and Catherine (Waters) Hutchins.
